Clik here to view. What a weekend! If I just reported on the weather swings, that would be enough (today the high temp is supposed to be 35 degrees colder than yesterday!), but our activities were also varied and took us back and forth into neighboring counties (and beyond) for work and fun.
For weeks I had on my planner the spring antiques show we’ve attended for years, pretty much begging DH to keep the decks clear so we could attend. It was just what we needed. We rarely buy much (sometimes absolutely nothing except for a very modest lunch), but the displays are so pretty and I enjoy the booths with little pots of pansies. Total purchases: a hand painted sugar and creamer set like two others I have (watch for them when the Easter display is retired to the storage area); a small, engraved oval celluloid frame; and a sweet butter pat.
On the way home, we stopped at a shop in a former Presbyterian church; one of the owners recognized me from comments I’ve made on her Facebook page, which startled me! We talked at length about small towns and small businesses and the need to support each other.
Some of the same shoppers we had seen at the first antiques show were there — and then again at another shop several miles closer to home! It was a very fun day, and I was grateful to have some time away from work and problems of one sort or another.
Anyway, my weekend started very pleasantly with the Wonderful Watercolor class Friday evening! This was one of the cards we made. I apologize for the poor heat embossing, but please click to enlarge the photo and see the shading on the flower — this is exactly why I love watercoloring!
