This weekend we’ll celebrate our daughter-in-law’s birthday. Or rather, she and my stepson will celebrate and we’ll have Peter overnight on Saturday. (Watch for bleary eyes at camp Sunday!)
Making her birthday card was a perfect reason to break in two hostess sets from the new annual catalog, Happy Birthday, Everyone and Best Thoughts. This floral image is so easy to watercolor, and the large sentiment is the perfect balance.
My original intention was to use the new Whisper White Thick 8½” x 11″ Cardstock — which is exactly the wonderful weight we’ve been wanting for years, by the way — but I decided instead to use a very narrow mat and use our standard cs as the card base.
This card is perfect for our DIL, so HB2U dear friend!
